The Gold Divide I (24" x 30") is a meditation on contrast—soft shadow against rugged earth, stillness against disruption. A monolithic, stone-like form rises from the surface in layered relief, its raw edges reading like a cliff face carved by time. Along the right side, a single brass line stands crisp and intentional—part seam, part boundary, part beacon—catching light like a quiet promise that there’s always a way through.
Deep charcoal and warm mineral undertones shift as you move past it, revealing subtle scrape marks, weathered ridges, and sculpted texture that feels discovered rather than designed.
